Americana Collective: Collaborative Events For Nashville Creatives.

I’m so freaking excited for this. Americana Collective is a group of creatives from all around the Nashville area that meet together to not only to collaborate on photoshoots but network and get to know each other.

How Shoot Days Work:

Application Process:
This is a premium event that requires the purchase of a ticket/reservation. These are non-refundable due to the nature of these events. Each event is priced differently because of every situation bearing different expenses on our end. Once you apply, you’ll hear back from us at the same time as the other creatives via email. If spaces are full or your application is declined for other reasons, you’ll be refunded immediately.

Scheduling & Planning:
Photographers are responsible for filling their time slots. This will all be handled online. Time slots are handled very strictly with 15 minute buffers in-between each slot. No shows or cancellations will not receive refunds, as these fees go towards booking these venues. If you’re having problems filling your slots or finding someone to collaborate with, we’ll help you get that sorted out ahead of time.

Flow & Structure:
Imagine speed dating for photoshoots. Not really, but follow me for a second. You will work in 30 minute time blocks working with a model, photographer, brand, or other creator of your choice to create stunning images in some of the coolest spots in Nashville.

Image Rights, Tagging, ETC:
By joining us for an event, you agree to allow Americana Collective and any sponsors, vendors, or venues to use your images from the event. All parties should tag each other in these posts or invite to collaborate (Instagram). The only limitation that is set on these images is that they cannot be sold as either a digital asset or a printed asset without permission.

Rules

Structure is important for something like this, to ensure everyone has a mutually great experience we have to get on the same page as each other.

1: Be Nice
Don’t be a jerk. It’s really simple. Treat others (and their time) with respect.

2: Don’t Break Stuff
Seriously though, be careful with things like vintage clothing, backdrops, furniture, equipment, etc.

3: Keep Your Politics at Home
Nobody cares what your politics are. We don’t discriminate on things like political affiliation, race, sex, gender, religion and other beliefs. We can get along and keep all of that stuff at home. Discrimination will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Disclaimer: Even if we have the same beliefs/politics, we still don’t care to hear about them while at these events.

4: Image Delivery
Technically, this isn’t something that we can actually enforce, but this group is only a group when the photographers deliver images in a way that other participants, vendors, and sponsors can easily download and use. This is what makes these shoots worth participating in for all involved.

5: Event Ratings (IMPORTANT)
This one is important. Think of these events like movies and television shows. Every piece of content as has rating that tells you what to expect from it as far as things like nudity and drug usage goes. Not all events will carry the same rating. Certain events will focus strictly on creativity in the “cleanest” sense while others will allow more “revealing” themes such as boudoir and nudity. Those events don’t require boudoir and/nudity to be clear, that part is completely optional.

6: Consent
Every participant must sign a waiver for the event as well as a model release form with each photographer that they work with, these are expected to taken care of by no later than the night before and forwarded to info@zakkshane.com for the sake of accountability. A different waiver MUST be signed in order to do any sessions involving boudoir or nudity. We will provide this waiver. You will be asked to leave without question if these waivers are not completed. These themes MUST BE DISCUSSED BEFORE HAND.
